Botivo: The Non-Alcoholic Aperitif We’re Drinking This Dry January

It’s Dry January, and if you’re casting about for a proper grown-up drink that isn’t juice, sugary fizz… or (God forbid) Schloer — we’ve got you.

Meet Botivo: a non-alcoholic botanical aperitif

Botivo is a seriously delicious non-alcoholic aperitif made for people who still want a drink that feels like a drink.

It starts with apple cider vinegar, which is slowly infused with aromatic roots, fresh herbs and botanicals, then balanced with a touch of honey for a smooth, complex finish.

Botivo is made in small batches at Lannock Farm in Hertfordshire, and each batch takes over a year to produce — so yes, it’s the real deal.

How to drink Botivo (our favourite serves)

Botivo is brilliant if you want something bitter, refreshing and sophisticated, without alcohol.

Our go-to serves:

  • Botivo + soda + orange twist
Light, citrusy and properly aperitif vibes with a long, dry finish.
  • Botivo + grapefruit juice + soda
Like a non-alcoholic Paloma (but better).
  • Botivo + elderflower + tonic
Floral, sharp and super easy to sip.

The story behind Botivo

Botivo was founded by Sam and Emme in 2021.

Sam was already an established drinks maker — he even created the drinks served at the Royal Wedding in 2018. Emme tried Botivo for the first time, was instantly obsessed, and quit her job to join Sam and help take Botivo to the world.

And honestly… fair enough.

If you’re doing Dry January but still want something that feels grown-up, interesting and actually tasty, Botivo is a total no-brainer.
