What We Stand For
We are a social enterprise crowd-funded by over 350 local residents and businesses. We have two stores in South London: one in Catford and one in Sydenham.
-
Good Community
We believe that independent shops are the lifeblood of a community. We champion small businesses and local producers. We offer local products made by South East London residents, employ from within the community and serve our customers with respect and a smile.
-
Good Ethics
We’re a social enterprise and we source from producers with the same values as us. We reinvest everything we make into the business. We support regenerative farming practices and strive for low food miles, minimal plastic and sustainability in everything we do.
-
Good People
We have amazing, loyal friendly staff and we do our best to do as much for them as they do for us. We pay them London Living Wage, we take the time to train and develop them and promote from within.
Let customers speak for us
from 60 reviewsReally lovely Chilli oil. So nice for it to have some substance and it not just be an oil. Absolute game changer.
We wait with great excitement and eager anticipation for the first Friday of the month 'Cheese day'!! We have really enjoyed most of the cheeses - there's always one that doesn't quite hit the tast buds, but we've only had one in 4 months! Great value for money too. Thank you
We purchased the cheeseboard for our son in law and he loved it, the products turned up in time and they looked lovely. We will be ordering again.
Christmas present so haven’t tasted it yet but no problem with delivery. Love the bottle design!! Sure it will be yummy!!
They were delicious but disappointingly when opened, a few were broken despite careful packaging.
Real Cheese Club
Very happy recipients, thank you!

We love cheese Friday, it has meant that we have tried cheeses that we wouldn’t normally buy ourselves
Lovely deli - great selection of products and the cakes and bread are delish
Brilliant shop- great food and drink, excellent staff. Always something tempting in stock.
We love Good Food - really good range of produce and products and fabulous home cooked food and bakes.
Such a great store. The selection of locally sourced produce is absolutely fantastic and the quality is top-notch. The sourdough bread is truly delicious and a staple in our household now. Not only do they offer great food, but they also have a refill station for household items like shampoo and body wash. This is a small step in reducing plastic use, but it makes such a big impact. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. I highly recommend Good Food store to anyone looking for fresh, high-quality produce.
Love this friendly shop full of stuff we crave. Always a pleasure to visit this shop.
Great rotating selection of fancy grocery stuff, including bread and wine
✅ Tasty cakes (often incl vegan and GF options)
✅ Refillable soap, detergent etc
✅ Best coffee on Sydenham High St
✅ Super friendly staff
