It's Easter weekend, and what better way to celebrate with friends and family than with CHEESE!
Thinking about putting together the perfect Easter cheeseboard? Here's what's going on ours...
A Hard Cheese
We're going with Lincolnshire Poacher as our hard cheese of choice this year. The tang of a mature cheddar with hints of the savoury nuttiness of a comte or gruyere.
A Squidgy
You need something soft, so how about a Tunworth - a British cheese that Raymond Blanc has called "the world's best Camembert".
A Wildcard
Always great to have something a bit different on the cheese board. This month we're celebrating the start of wild garlic season with a Wild Garlic Yarg. Crumbly and mild with a delightful waft from the garlic.
Blue / Goat
Not everyone wants a blue or goat cheese on their cheeseboards - but we do!
Our blue cheese obsession remains the gloriously gooey Isle of Wight Blue.
While the ash-rolled Driftwood has the subtle citrus notes and peppery base that we love from goats cheese.
To Accompany...
Driver's Real Ale Chutney is a perfect partner to the mature hard cheeses.
While the softer, squishier ones like something that can cut through the richness - try Single Variety's Fireflame chilli jam.
A for the goat cheese, why not our fruity Brindisa membrillo.
No matter what your tastes and preferences our staff will be more than happy to help you put together the perfect Easter cheeseboard this weekend - so pop in and take a look!
