“Just what do you do with date molasses?” That was the question I was asking myself while unpacking our recent delivery from Belazu. I’ve used my fair share of pomegranate molasses, I’ve got an Ottolenghi cookbook after all, but date molasses? I was coming up blank. Fortunately self-improvement is a passion of mine and so off I went to find out the answer. And I didn’t have to go far – the Belazu website suggested Date Molasses, Cinnamon and Pecan Buns. Sold! I bought the molasses on the spot and a few hours later I was tucking into a sticky bun – I’ll admit I used a bread maker for the dough and butter instead of margarine (because why wouldn’t you?).
