A Celebration Of Some Of Our Favourite Female-Owned Brands

Just a select few products from our many female-owned brands. Here are the products and the women behind them: 

Ocelot's Femme chocolate is made with rare Amelonado cocoa beans grown by a pioneering women’s cooperative in Eastern Congo.

White Mausu is a delicious nutty rayu named after the nickname given to owner Katie by her gran in Hong Kong. 

All Dressed Up Salad Dressings are made by Tess, based on recipes she learnt from her mum.

We've been stocking Shu's Rempapa curry pastes for years, back before she was the celebrated author of two cookery books (Agak Agak and Chicken & Rice).

Nicola started out selling her Single Variety jam at farmer's markets in London. Each jam is made using a single variety of the fruit and much less sugar than other brands.

Hampstead Tea was founded by Kiran after moving here from India and has been named The Most Ethical Tea Brand by the Ethical Consumer.

Baj's has been selling her hot sauces in Greenwich Market for 10 years now. Each flavour is made with a member of her family in mind and her Mum's Mango is her mother's favourite!

A Real Cheese Real Treat

I love Real Cheese Club; the surprise of it, the sense of decadence, the variety and the night off cooking. The selections are well thought out, covering a broad range and often with a pleasing element of seasonality. Quality is great, and importantly, the portions are good: we'll enjoy 2 or 3 meals per order, with the addition of some salad and bread, which is good value to my mind (and also encourages me to eat salad). It's also great to be supporting small producers making incredible and often overlooked products. We're happy customers, and would definitely recommend

Such a great store. The selection of locally sourced produce is absolutely fantastic and the quality is top-notch. The sourdough bread is truly delicious and a staple in our household now. Not only do they offer great food, but they also have a refill station for household items like shampoo and body wash. This is a small step in reducing plastic use, but it makes such a big impact. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. I highly recommend Good Food store to anyone looking for fresh, high-quality produce.
